Paediatrician with interest in Neonates

Dr. Aparna completed her MBBS from Kilpauk Medical College in Chennai. She subsequently trained in Paediatrics with an interest in Neonatology in the United Kingdom. She has her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the General Medical Council (GMC), UK.

She has worked in a number of hospitals in the South Yorkshire region of UK including Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Barnsley District General Hospital, Rotherham District General Hospital, Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby and Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham. She has received neonatal intensive care training at the Jessop Wing Hospital, Sheffield a busy level 3 neonatal intensive care unit. This included training in management of extremely premature babies above 23 weeks gestation involving conventional and high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide treatment, total body cooling for HIE etc. She has also worked with Embrace Yorkshire & Humber Infant & Children’s Transport Service, the first combined paediatric and neonatal transport service in the UK. During this time she carried out a number of paediatric and neonatal intensive care transfers. She returned to India in 2014 with the intention of utilising her knowledge and experience to provide efficient and affordable neonatal care here.
