Dr Raghavendra Nagaraja is a Surgical Gastroenterologist with a special interest in HPB surgery (liver and Pancreas). He completed his undergraduation training in Bellary, and then did his postgraduation in Surgery at KMC Mangalore. He served as Assistant professor of Surgery in KMC Manipal and Mysore medical college. He then developed keen interest in abdominal surgery and went onto pursue super specialisation degree in Surgical Gastroenterology from the renowned Sir Ganga Ram hospital, New Delhi. He was actively involved in the Liver transplant program there. He then visited Asan and Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea to advance his knowledge in HPB surgery and Liver transplantation. He takes keen interest in academics and has published articles in national/ international journals, presented posters/ papers in national/ international conferences and written text chapters. Before joining Team Sparsh he was associated with Manipal hospital, Bangalore and Vikram hospital, Mysore. His aim is to provide indigenous, cost-effective treatment for Indian patients with GI problems.
