Dr.K.N.Subramanian is an Orthopaedic surgeon with special interest in Orthopaedic Sports Injury Surgery, Knee Surgery and Upper limb surgery. He has been awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training in Orthopaedics by the regulatory body of the United Kingdom called General Medical Council. He is licensed to practice Specialist orthopaedic surgery.

PROFILE:

Dr.K.N.Subramanian completed his undergraduation and postgraduation in India from Madurai Medical College and Coimbatore Medical College attached to Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai. Further to that he went to the United Kingdom. He joined Royal college of Surgeons of England approved Basic surgical training scheme in Nottingham and Derby United Kingdom. He continued his further training in Liverpool and completed M.Ch Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Liverpool. He was selected for Specialist orthopaedic training in All Wales Orthopaedic Training Programme and underwent six years of training attached to various hospitals in and around Cardiff. After completion of FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics) his intention was to specialize in Orthopaedic sports injury, shoulder and knee surgery. Hence he did an in country royal college approved fellowship in knee surgery at York university hospital. Further he went to Canada and completed fellowship in Orthopaedic sports medicine and Upper extremity reconstruction attached to world famous PAN AM Sports Clinic, Winnipeg, Canada. He also did Trauma and Arthroplasty fellowship attached to Sunnybrook Hospital, University of Toronto, Toronto.

After completing his fellowships in Canada, he served as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interest in Upper Extremity Reconstruction/Sports Injury surgery at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Wales, UK for a short period.

During his career, he has acquired a broad experience in managing Simple and complex orthopaedic condition especially pertaining to Sports medicine, Knee and Upper extremity surgery. He has worked with stalwarts in Sports medicine and has learned the philosophy of deriving the best outcome for each individual condition.

He has done lots of academic works including writing chapter to the renowned book in Shoulder surgery called Disorders of the shoulder. The research he has performed has been published in number of peer reviewed international journals. He has done numerous national and international presentations for his academic credit.

The career aspiration is to deliver the best possible treatment to the patients suffering from conditions related to Orthopaedic sports medicine, Knee and Upper extremity problems. He welcomes research and innovations for the advancement of orthopaedic surgery and is passionate in treatments that make significant difference in patient outcome.

After 12 years of experience in UK and Canada, now he has returned to India for continuing his career. He is attached to SPARSH hospital for Advanced Surgery in Bangalore to continue his practice.
