Lata, Young and talented suffers from rheumatoid arthritis of hip. She has been crippled since 10 years and depends on her poor family for her day to day activities. All this has not dampened her spirit. She fights for her dignity and wants to live an independent life. She needs hip replacement surgery which will be able to help her walk and maybe even get a job for herself to take care of her old aunt.

This is with reference to the discussions we had regarding the subject during my visit, firstly let me thank you for the concern shown by you on well being of Ms.Latha.As. As suggested by you I herewith provide you a brief write up about Latha's Health, Social and Financial condition. This write up may be sent to any corporate bodies, Press or to any individual philanthropists who may be willing to extend their help. N.K. Latha, aged 30 years is Suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis  over the past 18 years with severe multiple crippling deformities & nbsp both Hips, Knees, Hands and feet. She is totally bed ridden and needs continuous assistance to meet her daily needs. She lost her mother about 10 years back and father was taking care of her till recently. Unfortunately he passed away about 6 months back and presently His widowed sister is taking care of her. The sister works in a Factory as a contract labour and she has the responsibility of her own family to take care off. Due to the recession many workers were laid off including Latha's sister. They deprived meager monthly income Rs.3500/- .Latha needs immediate medical treatment to correct her deformities, so that she will be able to take care of her daily needs on her own and maybe gods willing she may even get a suitable job. Recently, well known Sparsh Hospital came forward to help her with replacements of both the Hip Joints. Hopefully hip replacement is expected to mobilize her again and improve her quality of life. However, the Treatment cost comes to around Rs.3 Lakhs .Though relatives and friends are taking care of Latha's family routine needs, they are definitely not in a position to mobilize this amount. Hence, we appeal to philanthropic individuals and organizations to generously give helping hand to Latha who is now in a distressful condition.
