Dr Prashant Tejwani is the Head of department Sports medicine and arthroscopy unit at Sparsh.
He completed his MBBS from Indore Medical college and his M.S. from S.M.S Medical College at Jaipur in April 2000. For one year he worked at Udai Clinic, Hyderabad with Dr. Ved Prakash and Dr. Raghav Dutt, where he got his training in trauma and sports medicine. Later he joined Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences as registrar for three years. His interest in academics and teaching persuaded him to continue in the institute, where he was appointed as assistant professor in the department of Orthopedics. He persuaded his interest in the field of Sports medicine, Arthroscopic surgeries and Limb reconstruction and attended the basic and advanced courses at various institutes in the country and abroad. He went to Liverpool (UK) for 6 weeks to enhance his skills where he visited different institutes to learn various techniques used overseas so that he could use them back in India to serve his patients.
He got himself trained with pioneers in the subject in India like Dr. Anant Joshi (Bombay), Dr. Bharat Modi (Baroda) and Dr David Rajan (Coimbatore) for Arthroscopic surgeries at different occasions.
He has attended various CME and symposium on arthroscopy organized by Indian Arthroscopy society and Indo-European Arthroscopy foundation.
He has presented papers in various regional and national and international conferences. He has conducted the CMEs on upper limb trauma at SPARSH hospital.
He has contributed to community health by conducting many Bone health camps, Osteoporosis awareness camps at various institutes like 3M, Novozyme, Sensura
