Padmanaban is presently the "Chief of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Services" at SPARSH Hospitals. Padmanaban completed his MSc in Physiotherapy with distinction (First Msc PT student of the University to achieve this level) from Keele University, UK, where he also worked as a researcher.
Padmanaban has over 12 years of extensive clinical experience, most of which is from St John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore where he served under various roles including Senior Physiotherapist & In charge of the physiotherapy section. His area of work is predominantly musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and his clinical expertise includes manual therapy and sports injury rehabilitation. In addition to clinical practice he is also involved in teaching and mentoring students and colleagues in clinical skills. Padmanaban has presented scientific papers in various conferences and published original articles in international indexed journals. He is also a Cohrane author, Cohrane reviews are recognised internationally as the benchmark for high quality research in health care. Padmanaban has been invited as a guest speaker/ faculty/ resource person in international/ national/ state level conferences/seminars & workshops.
Padmanaban is an accredited movement therapist and a Kinetic Control Tutor, the first and only one in Asia. As a Kinetic Control Tutor, he has completed a rigorous course of training in UK and is qualified to deliver Kinetic Control training courses anywhere in the world. He is a registered physiotherapist in the UK, holds license to practice Physiotherapy in UAE and had cleared the Australian Physiotherapy Council license exam.
Padmanaban also specializes in injury prevention & performance rehabilitation based on Movement Control & Performance Matrix concepts (UK), presently used by leading sports clubs of the world. As the first & only tutor-consultant of these concepts in Asia, he is trying to spread this knowledge and bring in a new perspective in Sports rehabilitation in India.
