Dr. Bhaskar is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at SPARSH Hospitals, Bangalore. He graduated from the prestigious Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) in 2006 and pursued his post-graduation in merit at JJM Medical College with two gold medals. He worked in Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) as a teaching faculty and as a consultant in Thiruvalla for a year. Later, he pursued DNB (RD) in 2011 and scaled his core interest of neuroimaging and intervention, topped in the entrance for DM (NIIR) at NIMHANS and completed his super-speciality with extensive hard work and gained in-depth knowledge in neuro-imaging and interventions in 2014.
He persuaded the prestigious FRCR degree from Royal College of Radiologists, London, in 2018. Following this, he worked as a consultant at Apollo Speciality Hospital in Madurai. He was the first to perform a mechanical thrombectomy in a short duration with an excellent outcome in south Tamil Nadu. After that, he served in Vikram Hospital, Bengaluru, with a wonderful stroke and endovascular programme, and gained popularity. Now, he handles the Radiology department at SPARSH. He is excellent in the academics field and has been invited to multiple regional and national conferences. He has also contributed to many peer-reviewed publications.
He is a member of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA), Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR), Indian Society of Neuro-Radiology (ISNR), Royal College of Radiology (RCR), London, and National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS).
