Dr. Revanth Boddu is a board-certified, distinguished Consultant Hematologist, Hemato-oncologist and Bone Marrow Transplant physician, trained at best centers in the country and renowned for his ethical practice. He completed his MBBS from the acclaimed Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences and pursued Masters in Pathology (M.D) from the prestigious Sri Venkateswara Medical College, Tirupati. Dr. Revanth always had an innovative and meticulous yet patient centric approach towards medicine and particularly cancers, from his under-graduation days. This made him pursue his interest in oncology by doing Doctorate in National Board (DNB) Super specialty in Clinical hematology from one of the best centers in the country for hematology, Army Hospital Research and Referral, New Delhi. During his training, he also had the opportunity to visit and learn from various premier institutes like All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, for Hemophilia clinics and approach to bleeding and clotting disorders. He has over 10 years of medical experience and over 6 years of experience in the field of Clinical Hematology at medical colleges, premier institutes and corporate hospitals. During this period he was very actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and post-graduate students from the college. He comes with an experience of performing more than 250 bone marrow transplants. These include autologous, allogeneic, haploidentical and matched unrelated transplants. He has also worked in various positions in hematology at Christian Medical College, Vellore and Fortis Hospital, Bengaluru. Here he was trained under prominent and celebrated Hematologists of international repute. During this time here he handled many complex and high-profile cases. His holistic approach towards patients and their management has helped him develop excellent rapport with patients. He built great reputation and received appreciation from his patients and acclaim from his senior colleagues. On return from the Army Hospital, he started his career as a Consultant Hematologist in Bengaluru (SPARSH Hospital) and is also catering to patients from Tirupati and other neighbouring districts of Bengaluru. Dr. Revanth has appeared in several talks on awareness of different subspecialties in Hematology and Oncology to the general public and also for doctors from other specialties. He was actively involved in the team which was instrumental in setting up and managing the Bone Marrow transplant Unit (BMTU) in his previous hospital. He has taken part in several rural and urban free camps and has helped in raising funds for bone marrow transplant for the poor and needy. He has presented scientific research in different national and international Hematology and Oncology conferences. He has published several case reports and articles in peer-reviewed journals and been rewarded for distinguished research work in the field of Hematology.
