Dr. Samarth Arya completed his MBBS from M.S.Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore and went on to pursue MS Orthopaedics from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar, Karnataka. Further, he pursued his DNB in Orthopaedics. He completed a fellowship in Arthroscopic Surgery from one of the premier institutes of India, Manipal Hospital (Bangalore). He then obtained his MCh Trauma & Orthopaedics from University of Seychelles. In 2018, Dr. Samarth moved to the UK for further training. He completed a fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty from Wrightington Hospital, UK which is considered worldwide as a centre of excellence. Here, he was bestowed with the coveted degree of MCh Hip and Knee from the prestigious Edgehill University, UK. He then moved to Aberdeen, UK to pursue higher training where he completed a senior fellowship in lower limb arthroplasty followed by a senior fellowship in robotic and revision hip and knee arthroplasty at Woodend Hospital and Aberdeen Royal Infirmary which are high volume centres and globally renowned hospitals.
Dr. Samarth has trained in robotic and revision hip and knee replacement and performed over 100 robotic surgeries as the primary surgeon and been a part of over 400 robotic surgeries during his senior fellowship. This included robotic total knees, total hips, and partial knee replacements. His other area of interest is arthroscopic knee surgery. He also has a keen interest in teaching and has rich academic experience in his area of expertise. He is a member of various professional organizations and has several international presentations and peer-reviewed publications in journals of repute. Having served in the world-renowned NHS and trained in multiple centres in India and the UK, he now aspires to give his all for his home country striving to achieve excellence in hip and knee joint care leaving no stone unturned.
