Dr. Suniti Mishra is a Consultant Pathologist at SPARSH Hospital, Bangalore. She did her MBBS and MD from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in 2003. With a special interest in Histopathology and Cytopathology, she did her fellowship and senior residency in Oncopathology from the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. She has undergone special training in Gastrointestinal Pathology from CMC Vellore and in Neuropathology from NIMHANS, Bangalore.
Dr. Suniti has gained extensive experience with exclusive focus in the field of Histopathology. She has acquired exhaustive and diverse exposure while working in leading corporate hospitals in Bangalore for the last 14 years. Dr. Suniti has a strong belief in imparting precision and the highest quality diagnosis with a vision to create hope for patients. This in turn ensures timely and accurate opinions that help clinicians and patients immensely.
She has developed niche skills through her special interests in the areas of Gastrointestinal Pathology, Dermatopathology and Oncopathology. During her tenure, she has been referred for several complex cases with a very high rate of precision, leading to an early start of treatment which is crucial for patients. She has more than 15 publications in Histopathology to her credit in various reputed international and national journals.
She has authored chapters for the book ‘Pathology of Peritoneal Metastases’. She has won the distinguished Kunti Devi Award at the annual Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (IAPM) conference for Best Original Publication. Dr. Suniti has conducted a workshop on Pathology of Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP) at the Indian Cancer Congress in November 2017 along with national and international faculty. She has done poster presentations in the 11th International Workshop on Peritoneal Surface Malignancy at Paris, France in September 2018.
