It is manned by a team of qualified hepatologist well versed in the management of a variety of liver diseases ( Fatty liver, alcoholic liver disease, autoimmune liver diseases, hepatitis – Drug/ viral A,B,C.E and endstage liver disease – Cirrhosis), complications of liver disease like ascites, blood vomiting, coma – Encephalopathy, workup for liver transplantation and management of transplated persons.
Hepatitis B and C are the leading cause of endstage liver disease and indications for transplant. At Sparsh we strive to eliminate Hepatitis B and C with preventive stratergies, vaccination, early recognition and appropriate treatment.
Alcoholism is a social bane and robs the person of his prime life. It affects all organs of the body and is the foremost cause of pancreatitis and chronic liver disease in males. We run a comprehensive alcohol deaddiction clinic along with our psychiatry colleagues.
