Dr. Balaraj KP has worked as professor/Unit chief of the department of medicine at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bangalore. He is an avid teacher and has been a PG guide to many PG students in the department of Medicine at KIMS, Bangalore. He completed his MBBS at JJMMC, Davanagere. MD (Internal Medicine) at Bangalore Medical College (BMC). He has extensive clinical experience over 33 years in management of diabetes and it’s implications, hypertension mitigation, prevention cardiology and keen interest in infectious diseases prevention & control. He believes in a holistic approach towards his patients and is a firm advocate of preventive medicine. He is a member of the National API (Association of Physicians of India), is also an executive member of State API and an honourable member at RSSDI , Indian Medical Association (IMA). He has many distinctive national level ,international level publications under his name.
