Dr. Pranam Hathwar is a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine at SPARSH Hospital. He completed his under-graduation and post-graduation in Anaesthesiology at Mysore Medical College and Research Institute. Later, he obtained his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Fortis Hospital, Bangalore. Following his training, he worked in various corporate hospitals in Bangalore where he gained the skill to manage critical patients using the latest of technology.
He is skilled in the resuscitation of critical patients using international ACLS/ATLS guidelines. He also specialises in managing critical patients with multi-organ failure in intensive care units using organ support technologies like ventilators, dialysis, ECMO, etc.
His clinical interests are advanced ventilator management, ECMO, and infectious diseases. He is actively involved with hospital infection control policies, audit, and other educational programmes. He is involved in training the hospital clinical and non-clinical staff in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support resuscitation regularly.
