Dr. Avinasha KM is a highly skilled Neurosurgeon specializing in both Neurosurgery and Neurointerventional Surgery, particularly in Endovascular Neurosurgery. He has an impressive 16 years of medical experience, including 13 years as a specialist in the field of Neurosurgery and Neurointerventional Surgery.

Dr. Avinasha KM’s dual expertise in both open microvascular and endovascular cerebrovascular surgery is a rare and valuable skill set that allows him to offer tailored treatment options for his patients.

Dr Avinasha completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from JJM Medical college, Davangere and earned his MCh in Neurosurgery from the prestigious King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEM Hospital) & Seth GS medical College, Mumbai, which is the Mecca of surgical training in India. Department of Neurosurgery at KEM hospital in one of the pioneering institutes in India and is the only department in India to have WFNS (World Federation of Neurological Surgery) accredited training for Skull Base Surgery. Having completed his training in general Microneurosurgery and Skull base surgery Dr Avinasha went on to do sub- super-speciality training in Interventional Neurosurgery (Endovascular Neurosurgery) at University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland. He also completed training in Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Neuro and Spine surgery at University Hospital Stuttgart Germany. He visited world renowned centre for vascular neurosurgery at Sapporo, Japan for advanced training in vascular neurosurgery and brain bypass surgeries. He also completed Fellowship Training in Neuro-endoscopy and Endoscopic spine surgery at India

In his previous position, he served as a senior consultant in these specialties at Columbia Asia Hospitals, with consulting services at multiple units in Bangalore. Later continued at Manipal Hospitals at Yeshwanthpur and Hebbal Branch. His educational background and advanced training equip him to handle a wide range of neurological conditions, from brain and spine surgeries to vascular and endovascular procedures.
