The journey began with an MBBS from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Anesthesiology from MS Ramaiah Medical College.Dr. Harish received comprehensive training at the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) in Sydney, Australia, and furthered his expertise with a European Fellowship in Intensive Care Medicine (EDIC) in Zurich.

He is a dedicated member of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM), and the Australia and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS).

In his previous role as Senior Consultant in Critical Care and Chief Intensivist at Fortis Hospital, Cunningham Road, Bangalore, Dr. Harish Kumar Ambekar led medical / surgical / cardiac intensive care. Simultaneously, he held key positions as Chairperson of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee and Chief Chairperson of the Infection Control Committee at Fortis Hospital.
