Dr. John Paul M is a Consultant Physician with special interest and expertise in Travel Medicine & Infectious Disease at SPARSH Hospitals, Bangalore. He has completed his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine from St John’s Medical College, Bangalore. Following his undergraduate and postgraduate training, Dr. John Paul served in the capacity of Senior Resident Physician at Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore. During his brief 2-year stint at Muller’s Medical College, he also actively engaged in Post Graduate teaching and research in the field of Infectious disease, which has always been an area of his special interest. He has been awarded a fellowship in Global Health and Humanitarian Medicine by the reputed organization Medicine Sans Frontiers, UK, following completion of training which especially looked into Global Infectious Diseases, Infection outbreak investigation and control. Additionally, he has also obtained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians-London (DTMH), which is mainly concerned with Tropical Infectious Diseases & Travel Medicine. He continues to serve as an Internal Medicine physician with a special interest in Tropical Infections, HIV & related conditions, Adult Vaccination & Travel Medicine which looks into Pre-Travel vaccination and advice regarding region-specific prophylaxis.
