Dr. Naveen Kumar K L is a Nephrologist whose passion for his chosen field is showcased through his impressive academic achievements and clinical experience.

His educational journey commenced with an MBBS from SS Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center, Davangere. Subsequently, he pursued MD in General Medicine from Lokamanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and General Hospital, Mumbai. Driven by a passion for Nephrology, he completed his DM from St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore.

Dr. Naveen’s professional trajectory includes spans from SS Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre at Davengere to the Department of Medicine at LTMMC & GH, Mumbai. Previously, he held the position of Senior Resident in the Department of Nephrology at St.John’s Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru.

His commitment to continuous learning is evident through his participation in various conferences and workshops. Dr. Naveen has attended notable events such as the International Conference in Geriatric Medicine 2019 in Pune, the 6th Annual Renal Symposium 2023, and the 15th Renal Clinical Conference in CMC Vellore in 2023. His involvement in conferences like the Indian Society of Nephrology Southern Chapter Conference and the WIN India 2nd Annual Conference underscores his dedication to staying abreast of the latest advancements in his field.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Naveen has actively contributed to research. His thesis, “Study of low bone mineral density in ambulant elderly population by quantitative ultrasound and its implication on fragile fractures risk,” was submitted to MUHS in October 2019. His publications include an original article on the prevalence of poly-pharmacy among the elderly and a case report on severe symptomatic hyponatremia due to tacrolimus-induced salt-losing nephropathy in a kidney transplant recipient.

Furthermore, Dr. Naveen has showcased his work through presentations, including a poster presentation on an interesting case of drug-induced liver injury in the elderly at GSICON 2019 and a poster presentation on the clinical profile and outcome of HIV-positive ESRD patients on hemodialysis at ISNSCCON 2023.
