Dr. Prateek Patil is a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon specialising in shoulder and sports injuries. He completed his MBBS from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, and further pursued an MS in Orthopaedics at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai. Dr. Prateek also holds a DNB in Orthopaedics and a Fellowship in Sports Medicine, along with specialised training in shoulder surgery from France.
He began his career as a Specialty Medical Officer in Orthopaedics at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, followed by a Senior Registrar position at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College. He then worked as a Lecturer in the Shoulder Unit at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune, and later as a consultant specialising in shoulder and sports injuries at St. Martha’s Hospital, Bangalore. He has also served as an Assistant Professor in Orthopaedics at Sri Madhusudhan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences & Research in Muddenahalli, Chikkaballapur.
Dr. Prateek has a strong academic background with numerous publications in prestigious journals, including studies on shoulder surgeries and sports medicine. He is currently involved in multiple research projects, including studies on osteoarthritis, rotator cuff tears, and shoulder arthroplasty outcomes. His work extends beyond clinical practice into teaching and advancing the field of orthopaedics through his contributions to research.
He is a member of several leading orthopaedic societies, including the Bombay Orthopaedic Society and the Shoulder and Elbow Society of India, and is actively involved in medical advancements.
