Dr. Ravi Kumar is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Robotic Joint Replacement Surgeon at SPARSH Hospitals. He completed his basic Orthopaedic training (D’Orth) at M.S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, and was awarded the Gold Medal for securing the first ranking there. Dr. Ravi further trained at SPARSH Hospital, Bangalore, for the Diplomate of the National Board in Orthopaedics. He undertook his Joint Replacement surgery fellowship training at SPARSH Hospital and received the DePuy Fellowship during this period. He then spent some time working extensively as an Arthroplasty surgeon in SPARSH Hospital for Advanced Surgery in Bangalore. He possesses remarkable international experience in Joint Replacement surgery from Hamburg in Germany at one of the most prestigious and globally renowned hospitals like EndoKlinik Hospital, under the esteemed guidance of acclaimed Dr. Thorsten Gherke. He is experienced in all aspects of non-operative and operative management of hip and knee Arthritis. Dr. Ravi Kumar has a special interest in the management of complex primary joint replacements and revision joint replacement surgeries. He has also published papers in well-known peer-reviewed journals to his credit.
