Dr SG Harish is a Consultant and Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at SPARSH Hospital. He has completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College with a gold medal and obtained his Masters (MD) in Internal Medicine from a Government Medical College, Mysore. He was also awarded the “Best Outgoing Student” in MD in his batch. He has 3 decades of experience in his field and has worked in some of the most prestigious hospitals in the country as an Internal Medicine Consultant. He has had specialised training in ‘Critical Care’ under Dr. Kanti Balasaraswathi, an American Board of Critical Care Consultant and one of the pioneers in the field of Critical Care. His special interests lie in diabetes, infectious diseases, and critical care problems. He has participated in several international meetings like the ‘American Diabetes Meet’ at San Francisco, and International Diabetic Federation meets at Montreal, Canada and Melbourne, Australia. He has also participated in several National Physician Symposia both as a delegate and a chairperson. He has also successfully completed courses conducted by the Endocrine Society of America for advanced diabetic care and American Thyroid Society for thyroid care.
