He has special interest in treating patients with inflammatory kidney diseases and transplant. He has good experience in the management of various Nephrology conditions including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease and its complications, immunological mediated diseases (like vasculitis and connective tissue diseases), kidney transplant and its complications. He is very proficient in performing haemodialysis catheter insertion and kidney biopsy. His major interest is in management of acute post kidney transplant cases which includes managning immunosupression and complications. He has done various projects notable of which is work on DP antibodies in transplant which gained a poster publication at Renal Association meet, UK. He has completed a Fellowship program at one of the prestigious Universities, Imperial College which is world renowned for its kidney transplant work. He is academically active and has many international publications and posters to his name. He practices Evidence based medicine and has himself been involved in creating several protocols and guidelines.
Dr. Vinod S Dibbur is currently practicing at SS SPARSH Hospital, RR Nagar, Bangalore. He has eight years of experience as a consultant in the management of various nephrology and transplant conditions. He also has several posters and publications in the international journals.
Professional experience:
Dr Vinod did his MBBS from Dr B R Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore and went on to complete his MRCP from Royal College of Physicians, London in 2008. Subsequently he completed his MRCP (Nephrology) in 2012 and obtained CCT (Nephrology/ General Medicine) in 2014. Following this he did a year of Fellowship in transplant medicine at the prestigious institute, Imperial College which he completed in 2015. Post this he worked with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation as Consultant in Nephrology and Acute Medicine. After moving back to India in April 2019, he has been working as a consultant Nephrologist at Vasavi Hospital, Bangalore and at Fortis Hospital, Bannergetta Road as Kidney Transplant Physician. This has provided him the experience of managing complex transplant and nephrology cases in India as well.
