For 20+ years now, my education, experience, passion has been working in diverse organizations and areas in the Field of Food, Nutrition and Dietetics.
I have been fortunate to contribute in different organizations like Hospital, Research Institute, College, Clinical Trials, Fitness centers, Corporate Company and Tech Start up.
My experience involves managing a Dietary department at a hospital, Prescribing dietary schedules for patients with Diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, renal disorders, hepatic disorders, obesity and malnutrition and eating disorders, enteral & parenteral nutrition, pediatric nutrition and pediatric epilepsy – initiation and maintenance of ketogenic diets and neo-nates with in-born errors of metabolism.
Also involved in planning diets for patients for burns and monitoring patients with pediatric ICU and supervising of food production and distribution in hospital kitchens.
Other non Clinical experience involves Diet Counselling for Corporate Employees, planning diet during clinical studies, kitchen audit at companies and guest lectures on Nutrition at various forums.
Master’s (M.Sc) in Food & Nutrition from Madras University, and a passionate Nutrition Educator.
I have also undergone a special training on “Diabetes & other non communicable Diseases” which was conducted by Indian Diabetes Research Foundation (World Diabetes Foundation Project), Chennai.
I hold life memberships with Indian Dietetic Association (IDA) – IDA/07512, Nutrition Society of India (NSI) and also in IAPEN.
