Dr. Amar B.R is a General Neurologist with over 15 years of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological disorders.
He completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College, followed by postgraduate training in General Medicine from Baroda Medical College. He later earned his Doctorate in Neurology from the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru.
Dr. Amar has worked with several leading corporate hospitals in Bengaluru, including Narayana Hrudayalaya, Sagar Hospitals (Banashankari), and Apollo Hospital, Jayanagar. He has also served as an Associate Professor at Siddaganga Medical College and Hospital, contributing to both clinical care and medical education.
He has extensive experience in managing neurological emergencies, including acute ischemic stroke thrombolysis, status epilepticus, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and myasthenia gravis.
His key areas of interest include the management of stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and peripheral neuropathies.
Currently, Dr. Amar B.R serves as Senior Consultant Neurologist at SPARSH Hospital Infantry Road.
