Dr. Farheen Naaz Shigli’s areas of expertise are primarily in diagnostic pathology, with strong proficiency in histopathology, cytology, and hematology. She is skilled in the microscopic evaluation of tissue samples for both neoplastic and non-neoplastic conditions, enabling accurate disease diagnosis and clinical correlation. Her work also includes fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) and interpretation of laboratory investigations related to blood disorders, including anemia and other hematological conditions.
She has specialized academic experience in gynecological pathology, particularly in the study of cervical lesions, as reflected in her MD thesis on mast cell variations. Additionally, she has exposure to salivary gland cytology and rare tumor pathology through her research and case presentations.
Her expertise is further strengthened by training in immunohistochemistry (IHC), laboratory quality management systems (NABL/ISO standards), and modern diagnostic techniques, ensuring high standards in clinical laboratory practice and patient care.
