Dr. Ramachandra P is a consultant Nephrologist at SPARSH Hospital, Bangalore. Dr. Ramachandra P completed his MBBS from MR Medical College Gulbarga. After this, he went on to pursue an MD in Paediatric Medicine from Seth GS Medical College and K E M Hospital, University of Bombay. He further specialised, obtaining a DNB and DM from Adult Nephrology from Jaslok Hospital and Research Center, Mumbai and National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, and Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, respectively. He has since then gained years of experience working in reputed institutions. He has worked at Omega Super Speciality Hospital, Mangalore, as a Consultant Nephrologist, Associate Professor Nephrology at Justice K.S Hegde Medical Institute, Mangalore, at Apollo Hospitals as a Senior Consultant and Chief Coordinator at the Department of Nephrology. He has actively worked towards the management of acute renal disease, CKD-Dialysis and renal transplantation and critical care nephrology, CRRT and CAPD. Dr. Ramachandra established the nephrology department, dialysis unit and critical care nephrology at the Bhimavaram Hospital in the West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. He further expanded the dialysis programme and initiated CRRT programme, plasmapheresis and carried out several successful live related renal transplantation for the first time in the history of Godavari Delta. Dr. Ramachandra is especially interested in acute renal disease — treatment and prevention, renal biopsies, CKD – Haemodialysis, CAPD, kidney transplantation, critical care nephrology-CRRT, Plasmapheresis Procedures in Kidney diseases – Dialysis catheter insertion and Permcath insertion, renal biopsy CME’s and Mortality meetings, Training, development and teaching nephrology and Research and development.
