Dr. Sharanu Patil is the Chief Anaesthesiologist at SPARSH Hospital, Bangalore. He completed his Masters in Anaesthesiology in 2003 from JJMMC, Davangere. Soon after, he joined Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, where he had extensive clinical exposure under various departments. He then joined the globally acclaimed Centre for Complex Cardiac Surgery – Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital, Bangalore, to pursue a one-year Cardiac Fellowship. After working at two reputed hospitals for about three years, he joined SPARSH Group of Hospitals and is now an integral part of the team.

His special interest has been anaesthesia and critical management of complex high-velocity polytrauma case management. He is also one of the pioneers in Ultrasound Guided Nerve Blocks and has to his credit many topic presentations on Ultrasound Guided Nerve Blocks at national and state levels. He and his team conduct regular workshops and also run a three-day course on ultrasound-guided nerve blocks every month. He, along with our team, manages high-velocity road traffic accidents, anaesthesia for various complex orthopaedic conditions, critical care management, and rehabilitation. So far, the team has managed more than 20,000 cases of road traffic accidents.
