After completing MBBS from Coimbatore Medical College, Coimbatore, Dr. Thiru did DA from Stanley Medical College, Chennai, which is one of the premier institutes for anaesthesia and intensive care. Further, he pursued DNB Anaesthesia from the well-known health care leader Apollo Hospital, Chennai. He also completed his Fellowship in Pain Management (FIPM) from Aesculap Academy, Germany through Delhi Pain Management Center, Delhi. Additionally, he has also pursued MBA (Health Sector Management) from the prestigious Anna University, Chennai. He has more than 15+ years of experience. Previously he had been associated with Apollo Group of Hospitals, where he managed more than 12,000 surgical, critical care and chronic pain patients with various risk factors and complications. He is an expert anaesthesiologist in neuro, cardiothoracic vascular, urology, obstetric, paediatric, laparoscopic, gastrointestinal, organ transplant, joint replacement areas, and ultrasound or image-guided nerve blocks for acute or chronic pain patients. He is also well-versed in ICU and Emergency Room procedures and patient care. He is a life member in Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Indian Medical Association, Academy of Regional Anaesthesia, and Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is a passionate teacher for DNB Anaesthesia post-graduates and paramedical students. He has presented papers in the renowned journals and has delivered lectures in prestigious institutes.
