With a comprehensive educational background that includes an MBBS from Sri Devraj Urs Medical College, an MD in General Medicine, and a DM in Medical Oncology from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, his commitment to advancing cancer care is unwavering. Additionally, he has also completed a fellowship in lung oncology from Erasmus University Medical Center, Rotterdam, Netherlands, further enriching his expertise in the field. Currently pursuing a PhD in Tumour Immunology, Dr. Srinivasalu’s research delves into the intricacies of drug resistance in gastroesophageal and colon cancer, showcasing his dedication to understanding and overcoming the challenges faced in oncology. His extensive research portfolio, encompassing prospective studies on chemotherapy safety and efficacy, as well as investigations into Immunotherapy and molecular targeted therapy in solid and blood cancers with special emphasis on Head and neck, Lung and gastrointestinal cancers, underscores his relentless pursuit of innovation and improvement in cancer treatment. Beyond academia, Dr. Srinivasalu has honed his expertise through specialized training programs organized by esteemed institutions such as the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO). Having completed an international Observership from Cleveland clinic, Taussig Cancer Center, Ohio, USA, his accolades include the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Cancer Conquer Foundation Merit Award and the ESMO Virtual Mentorship Award, highlighting his recognition as a leader in the field. Selected for the prestigious Leadership Development Program (LGP-ASIA 2023-24) by ESMO, Dr. Srinivasalu is positioned as a trailblazer in shaping the future of oncology. With a commitment to excellence in patient care, Dr. Srinivasalu has held pivotal positions as a Consultant in department of Medical Oncology at Narayana Hrudayalaya, Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Center, Bangalore, India, and as an Associate Specialist in Department of Medical Oncology at Pantai Jerudong Specialist Center (PJSC), The Brunei Cancer Center (TBCC), Brunei Darussalam. In these roles, he has played a crucial role in diagnosing and treating solid tumour patients, contributing to multidisciplinary tumor boards, and nurturing the next generation of oncologists through mentorship. Dr. Srinivasalu’s dedication to community service is exemplified through his involvement in initiatives such as Voice of Tobacco Victims and his efforts in organizing events like the World Cancer Day run and walkathon. Fluent in multiple languages, including English, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu, he bridges communication gaps to ensure patients receive compassionate and comprehensive cancer care.
