Dr. Amit Kulkarni is a Senior Consultant, Lead Neurologist and Stroke Specialist in Bangalore, and has an experience of 17 years overall. Dr. Amit Kulkarni practices at SS SPARSH Hospital, Rajarajeshwari Nagar (Mysore Road) and SPARSH Hospital, Infantry Road, both locations in Bangalore. He completed his MBBS from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hubli in 2003, his MD in General Medicine from M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore in 2008, and his DM in Neurology from G B Pant Hospital/Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi in 2013. He has completed his fellowship in Stroke & Neurosonology from NUH, Singapore. He is comprehensively certified by American Society of Neuroimaging (ASN), USA. He specialises in acute stroke care, follows up and work-up for revascularisation, when indicated, in stroke patients. He is one of the pioneers in Neurosonology and Neurovascular Ultrasound in Karnataka and India. His other special interests are in MS and demyelinating disorders, epilepsy and headache management. He has been an invited speaker in various conferences and CMEs in the field of Stroke and Neurology in India and abroad. He has authored various textbook chapters and articles in national and international journals. He is currently the Hon. Secretary of Bangalore Stroke Support Group. He is a founder trustee of the Karnataka Stroke Foundation. He is an EC member of Society of Neurosonology, India. He is a member of Indian Academy of Neurology, World Stroke Organization, Indian Stroke Association, Indian Epilepsy Association (IEA) IES, BNS and KNA.
